Since 2002, the Comité Inter Institucional de Mejoramiento de la Salud Ambiental - CIIMSA and Asociación Civil Labor Civil, with support from Arequipa companies, media and other institutions such as the Citizens Movement Against Climate Change (MOCICC) among others, has been developing "The Successful Practices Competition" This competition aims to encourage the organized population of the city of Arequipa to carry out environmental actions that benefit their community.

To date, it has mobilized over 100 organizations and civil society institutions in implementing environmental practices. That is why this year the seventh edition of Successful Practices Competition prioritizes the sound management of solid waste and the promotion of green areas with adequate management of water, which is why the public is invited Arequipa organized to mobilize the implementation of their projects.
